A class 101 zig zag machine from c1952. The author, Otto Landgraf, Books worked in the Meister training/Research & Development workshop, where he was Operations Manager.

A German machine badged zig zag machine with the Sewmaster name and sold through the Reynolds department store in Sydney. This model was first produced at the end of 1947.


R6

This compact free arm model weighs 10kg. The zigzag width measures 6mm wide. The R6 was introduced in 1953. R stands for Regina.

This is a rotary, zig zag machine. It has a Singer 206-style belt drive and rotary hook, internal motor with friction wheel drive, and a zig-zag mechanism like the Meister 101/Vesta 301 (and reminiscent of the Necchi BDU/BU).
