VSIII 'Empira'

#951538, courtesy of Connie Hill. This Vibrating Shuttle machine was sold under many badged names including Sowitch, Gracette, with various styles of decals. These Art Nouveau, Rennie Mackintosh style decals were extremely popular. Note the crocodile skin seen on the front inspection plate. Unlike Singer VS machines of the same period, many German machines, such as this, were able to sew in reverse using the easy to operate stitch length lever. For other Dietrich & Vesta logos see HERE. And here is the full Company History. Pictures of German Attachment tins are on the main NeedleBar website HERE and here you'll find the Restoration of a VSIII.
