Frederick Bourne's Apartment

Courtesy of Claire Sherwell. This is Frederick Bourne's apartment in San Souci, Jekyll Island, Georgia (top right). The Jekyll Island Club was owned and visited by America's wealthiest, such as William Vanderbilt, Joseph Pulitzer, Lloyd Aspinell, the Astors, Rockefeller. It was here that the rich and famous went to get away from it all. Bourne was a member of the Club from 1901 to 1919 and its president from 1914 until his death in 1919.
