Weir's 55s Machine

1877. Courtesy of Claire Sherwell. James G. Weir sold Raymond's chainstitch machines for about 8 years calling it the 55 shillings sewing machine and it became known as such. Weir's address was 2, Carlisle Street, Soho, London. See also Raymond (under Canada) and New England Types (under America).
