Stoewer VS - 3/4 Sized - Serata

#1267713, 1912, courtesy of Hector MacDonald. 'Man in Hat' decals. The name Serata was registered by Stoewer in May 1903. The hand cranks used on late 19th/early 20th century machines often had white porcelain handles, but this practice died out in the 20th century and this machine has a wooden handle. The decorative inlay on the top of the case is typical of an early style used by the company. Later on the pattern used on the side was used without the additional expense of the top feature. This machine features both.
